If the millage is not renewed, schools will lose approximately $1,000 per pupil annually.

The renewal of the millage for education will NOT raise taxes.

The revenue generated by the millage funds ALL schools: RSD, OPSB and Charter operated schools.

The millage generates approximately 1/3rd of ad valorem tax ANNUALLY.

Because of its impact district-wide, OPSB, RSD & Charters have committed to work together to educate the public about this issue.

A committee co-chaired by Tulane University President Scott Cowen and former Entergy CEO Dan Packer have stepped up to help solicit support from fellow business, civic and community leaders.
